Adrian Windisch has lived in Battle Ward, Reading West, since 2000, where he is currently the Green Party candidate. He is Chair of Reading Green Party, and stood in local elections in 2004/06/07 and 2008 as well as the General Election May 2005.

Adrian Says: "I believe we can achieve a sustainable future and I am doing everything I can to change my life and encourage others to do the same to achieve this. I am secretary of the Oxford Road Community Garden, founder of Battle Against Tesco, co-founder of Reading Biofuels Collective, and director of Sunseed Desert Technology, an environmental charity doing research and educating volunteers in the South of Spain.
"I am interested in green building, and have helped build three straw bale buildings in Oxford and two Earthships. I have converted my car to run on vegetable oil, so reducing my greenhouse emissions to a minimum. I have worked in a rural part of Tanzania with volunteers to build a school. I'm a member of RedR - engineers for disaster relief. I have worked for Sustrans, building cycle paths. I am campaigning to reduce our carbon emission with green building, improving insulation, and sustainable transport."
