Adrian Windisch

Adrian Windisch has lived in Battle Ward, Reading West, since 2000, where he is currently the Green Party candidate. He is Chair of Reading Green Party, and stood in local elections in 2004/06/07 and 2008 as well as the General Election May 2005.

Caroline Lucas

Elected in 1999, Caroline Lucas is the Green Party MEP representing the South-East of England. She sits on the European Parliament Trade and Environment Committees as well as being Vice President of the Parliament's Animal Welfare Intergroup.

Marjory Bisset

Marjory Bisset has lived in the Reading area for 18 years, most recently in Shinfield, which belongs to Wokingham Council. She campaigns for the Green Party in Reading, and has also started to get active in Wokingham. She stood for the Green Party in Shinfield South in the 2005 local elections, and came third out of five candidates.

Miriam Kennet

Miriam Kennet, 47 is a local Parish councillor and has been activist on social justice and the environment for 25 years.

Rob White

Rob was born in 1979, and lives on Orts Road in the Newtown area. He has stood for election in Park Ward in the local elections since 2004, increasing the number of votes each time. In the last locals, he finished just 20 votes away from becoming Reading's first Green councillor. He also stood in the General Election for Reading East in 2005 where he increase the vote by 50% and is the current Parliamentary Candidate for Reading East.

Ali McNamara

Alison McNamara lives with her husband and children in Caversham (Thames Ward). She works part-time as a teacher at a Reading primary school and cycles to work.

Alison's interests include transport (in particular safer routes to school), recycling, the preservation of green space in Reading and organic and local produce.

Dave Patterson

Dave, originally from Buckinghamshire, is an IT project manager living in Caversham and working locally. He is a long standing member of the Green Party and a strong supporter of their grass roots approach to local politics.

Emma Louise Scott

Emma lives in central Reading and teaches at a secondary school in Wokingham. She is particularly interested in reducing waste before recycling and supporting sustainable, local food.

Gabriel Berry

A locally resident member and activist, I have campaigned and stood as a candidate in local elections for Reading Green Party. I live in the Newtown/University area and work for a regional renewable energy consultancy.

I am a member of the Green Party, who lives in Minster ward. I have chronic arthritis and have been active on disability rights issues for a number of years. I joined the green party because of its strong stand on equal opportunities, social justice, peace and the environment.

Kevin lives in Whitley. He works part time for local charity as a supported employment advisor for adults with learning disabilities. He is also active within Unison as steward/caseworker in the community and voluntary sector.

Maitalal is a founding member of the Nepalese Green Party. He is currently in the UK on business and is actively involved with the Reading Green Party.

Mark Walker

Mark has lived in Reading for 5 years and has been campaigning for several years on both local and national issues such as local transport, trade justice and environment with the Green Party. He is currently completing a PhD at the University of Reading in between the busy life of a new parent.

Sunil Gandhi

I've been voting Green Party since the age of 18. I came to Reading in 2005. I had a job as a computer programmer in Henley. I helped in a small way for the local elections in 2007. And have been attending Reading Green party meetings since April 2007. My other interests include football, mental health and meditation.
