The Green Party has held one of the seats in the South East region since proportional representation was first introduced for the 1999 election, with Dr. Caroline Lucas as our MEP. We have an excellent chance of retaining that seat again in the forthcoming election, on June 4th 2009, and if the Green turn-out is high, good hopes of even winning a second one.
